CHANDRAPUR: Sleuths of the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) trapped a woman patwari of village Injewari under Armori tehsil of Gadchiroli while accepting a bribe of Rs 6,000 from a complainant at her office on Tuesday. Accused Rohini Kamble (37) had made the demand for providing 7/12 documents of the ancestral land of the complainant after segregating his brother’s share.
Initially, Kamble had demanded Rs 7,500, but agreed for Rs 6,000 after negotiation.
On the basis of the complaint, ACB PI Shridhar Bhosle laid a trap at the patwari’s office in Injewari village and arrested Kamble when she was accepting the bribe from the complainant. An offence has been registered at the Armori police station under section 7 of Anti-Corruption Act 1988.
