VADODARA: Three senior faculty members of the M S University (MSU) have tested positive for Covid-19. With the numbers rising in the city, the university seems to be no exception.
Sources said that after the dean of Faculty of Family and Community Sciences tested positive for Covid-19, she handed over the dean’s charge to another senior professor from the faculty who also tested positive for Covid-19.
At the Faculty of Technology and Engineering too, the vice-dean has tested positive.

Vadodara city and district, meanwhile, reported 28 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday. The new cases were reported from1,384 tests conducted during the 24 hours ending Tuesday evening. The cases include six from the areas of the district outside city limits and 22 from city limits.
In the city, the west zone remained the worst affected with 10 cases being reported from the zone. Seven cases were reported from the south zone and five from the north zone. The east zone did not report any new cases.
As many as 22 persons were discharged on Tuesday. This left 178 active cases including eight hospitalised persons. The hospitalisations went up marginally as compared to Monday when five persons were admitted as indoor patients. One of the admitted persons needed oxygen support.
