The city and state has been reeling under unusually hot conditions since March.
LUCKNOW: Pre-monsoon showers in the city on Tuesday brought relief from the scorching conditions prevailing for almost a month.
Though total rainfall was about 3.9 mm and relative humidity was high, partly cloudy sky and moist winds measuring upto 10 km per hour kept the weather pleasant throughout the day.
The maximum temperature dropped to 37.4 degrees Celsius, -0.1 units below normal, minimum temperature was 26.5 degrees Celsius, -0.4 degrees below normal.

The city and state has been reeling under unusually hot conditions since March.
Barring April 30 and May 23, when thunderstorms brought relief, temperatures throughout this period remained 2-5 degrees above normal. Wednesday is expected to witness partly cloudy skies with maximum and minimum temperatures around 38 and 27 degrees Celsius respectively, met officials predicted.
Meanwhile, according to MD, the southwest monsoon, which entered the state on Monday, did not advance further. On Tuesday, the northern limit of monsoon continued to pass through Porbandar, Baroda, Shivpuri, Rewa and Churk.
