China allows four more Russian co to supply fish, seafood, one to supply honey

MOSCOW. June 22 (Interfax) - China has granted permission for another four Russian businesses to supply fish and seafood to the country, Russian plant and animal health watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor said.

This is the third expansion of the list of Russian companies engaged in exports of fish and seafood to China in June 2022. Previously China had not included new Russian companies in the list of suppliers of fish and seafood to its market for more than two years, the agency said.

China also added one Russian honey producer to the list of suppliers of beekeeping products. "This is the first expansion of the list of Russian companies engaged in exports of beekeeping products to China in 2022," Rosselkhoznadzor said.

Thus, 851 Russian companies now have the right to export fish and seafood to China and 23 businesses have the right to export beekeeping products.

The new companies were registered through the China Import Food Enterprise Registration (CIFER) system.
