Coimbatore woman arrested for cheating two job aspirants of Rs 12.5 lakh

COIMBATORE: The Coimbatore city police on Tuesday arrested a 28-year-old woman for cheating two men of Rs 12.5 lakh by promising them jobs in the income tax department.
The arrested woman has been identified as S Subashini, 28, of Bharathi Nagar in Idigarai.
Police said the woman had approached the complainants -- K Sundaresan, 28, of Valamirankottai and B Mageswaran, 33, of Papanasam in Thanjavur district -- a few months ago by promising to get them jobs in the I-T department.She collected a total of Rs 12.5 lakh from them in instalments and issued appointment orders.
The duo found that the appointment orders were fake and approached the Race Course police.
The police registered a case against her for cheating and forgery and arrested her.
