Pakistani cricketer Hassan Ali and his wife Samiya are the latest targets of moral policing on social media. Hassan Ali is currently vacationing with his wife and daughter in the northern areas of Pakistan.
The cricketer posted a photo on social media sitting in a boat with his wife posing for a picture. Samiya could be seen dressed up in a jeans and white top and wearing black glasses. The picture received mixed reviews on Twitter.
Samiya was targeted for apparently wearing tight and revealing clothes. Meanwhile, Hassan Ali was slammed for posting that picture on his public profile. The extreme comments even questioned her morals. A user even bashed Hassan Ali for his lackluster performance these days. Hassan Ali is not in good form these days, he is often criticized for putting up poor performance in the matches.

However, a score of Twitter users asked Hassan Ali to ignore the trolls and enjoy the vacations with his family. Some said that the couple looks beautiful together while others believe that no one has got right to condemn, criticize or guide Samiya on her dressing style.

A Twitter user said that many social media users in Pakistan have a habit of trolling and moral policing celebrities. He recalled how Pakistani users had trolled Turkish actress Esra Bilgic aka Halima Sultan from the popular Turkish series Ertugrul for posting pictures in revealing clothes. The trolling reached the point where she was forced by Pakistani fans to stop following her on social media.

Hassan Ali had married Samiya in an intimate ceremony in Dubai with close friends and family members present in 2019. They both met through mutual friends in Dubai. The couple recently celebrated the birthday of Samiya at a British restaurant in the UK. The family went sightseeing and also spotted boating.
