As per a video tweeted by news agency ANI, Shiv Sena MLA Nitin Deshmukh on Wednesday claimed that policemen took him to a hospital, pretended as if he had suffered an attack & wanted to harm him under that pretext. With the state roiled in a political controversy, Deshmukh has said that his loyalties lie with CM Uddhav Thackeray.
“100-150 Policemen took me to a hospital & pretended as if I'd suffered an attack. They wanted to operate on me, harm me under that pretext. By God's grace, I'm alright. I am with Uddhav Thackeray" said MLA Deshmukh, who was previously thought to have joined renegade Sena leader Eknath Shinde.

In yet another dramatic twist amid the political crisis in Maharashtra, the Shiv Sena MLA who represents the Balapur Assembly constituency in Maharashtra, earlier alleged to have been ‘kidnapped’ and taken to Gujarat’s Surat from where he somehow managed to flee.

"I escaped and was standing on the road at around 3 in the morning trying to hitch a ride from passersby when over a hundred cops came and took me to a hospital. They pretended that I had a heart attack and tried to conduct some medical procedure on my body," he said, revealing that although he didn’t experience any sudden health issues he was forcefully taken to a hospital.

Deshmukh's wife on Tuesday had filed a missing complaint at the local police station saying she suspected a threat to his life.

In his wife’s written complaint to the Akola police station, it was mentioned that she last spoke to him on a phone call at 7 pm on June 20 and hasn't been able to communicate with him and then on his phone has been switched off.
