Haryana chief secretary Sanjeev Kaushal on Wednesday directed to constitute a four-member committee under the chairmanship of Director General (CID) to prepare a Standard Operating Procedure for a Drone Policy.

CHANDIGARH: Haryana chief secretary Sanjeev Kaushal on Wednesday directed to constitute a four-member committee under the chairmanship of Director General (CID) to prepare a Standard Operating Procedure for a Drone Policy. “To maintain peace and security in the state, there should be no unauthorized use of drones in the state. Apart from the SOP, the committee will suggest alternatives to further strengthen the policy,” he said.
Kaushal gave these directions during a crucial meeting.
The deputy commissioner, Ambala and superintendent of police, Ambala and representative from LR Department will be the members of this committee. The committee will submit its report in 15 days. He also directed that the police personnel should be trained for the use of drones, drone surveillance and prevention of drone infiltration. It was apprised in the meeting that the government has approved the request regarding imparting drone training to the police personnel.
