Foreigner kills woman in hotel room

A foreigner is today in custody after he stabbed a woman to death in a Pailin hotel yesterday evening.

The attack took place at 21:30 on June 22, 2022, at Hotel Much Pich in Phsar Prom Cheung village, Stung Karch commune, Sala Krao district, Pailin province.

Meak Saran, district inspector of the Police Inspectorate of Sala Krao District, says that the perpetrator – a thai national named as Kapanyatha Tammaseng, 30, had lost his temper with a woman after an argument.

He then stabbed her with a butterfly knife – causing serious injuries to the victim.

The woman was rushed to Pailin Provincial Referral Hospital, where she sadly later died

The victim has been named as Ching Mey, a 30-year-old Thai woman.

Police have arrested the man and are now questioning him about his crime.
