Pune: Pimpri Chinchwad cops solve 19 chain snatchings amid palkhis
Pimpri Chinchwad police have nabbed three gangs from Latur, Beed and Ahmednagar districts, which snatched as many as 19 gold chains during the Sant Tukaram Maharaj and Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj palkhi processions on Tuesday. The police have recovered gold ornaments worth Rs5.

PUNE: Pimpri Chinchwad police have nabbed three gangs from Latur, Beed and Ahmednagar districts, which snatched as many as 19 gold chains during the Sant Tukaram Maharaj and Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj palkhi processions on Tuesday.
The police have recovered gold ornaments worth Rs5.10 lakh from these gangs. The police have arrested 26 men and 11 women from the Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj palkhi procession and solved 12 chain snatchings.Similarly, 14 men and two women were taken into custody from the Sant Tukaram Maharaj palkhi procession and seven cases were solved.
