BENGALURU: A 25-year-old food delivery executive has been arrested for allegedly killing a 46-year-old security guard in a fight over a parking issue outside an apartment complex near Kodigehalli gate on Ballari Road.
Police identified the deceased as Kumar Naik, a resident of Yelahanka and from Sira, Tumakuru district. The accused is Karthik BG of Sahakaranagar.

Karthik allegedly beat Naik up on June 12 and the latter succumbed to injuries at Victoria Hospital on Tuesday. Initially, police had registered a case of assault and criminal intimidation against the suspect on June 13, but they converted it into murder later.
Naik was a security guard with a private firm and was deployed at a gated community. Karthik reached the spot to deliver a food order around 3.30pm and, in a hurry to complete the delivery, parked his bike in front of the gate. Naik asked him not to do so, but Karthik refused, saying he would be back in five minutes. Naik himself tried to move the bike, but he lost balance and the two-wheeler fell on the road.
On seeing this, Karthik kicked and punched Naik before fleeing from the spot. Naik rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was under treatment for a week. He was shifted to Victoria Hospital after a brain stroke and breathed his last on Tuesday night.
