Telangana government issued a GO on Friday giving a government job on compassionate grounds to the brother of Damera Rakesh, who was killed in firing incident at Secunderabad Railway Station during Agnipath protests on June 17.

HYDERABAD: Telangana government issued a GO on Friday giving a government job on compassionate grounds to the brother of Damera Rakesh, who was killed in firing incident at Secunderabad Railway Station during Agnipath protests on June 17.
The government said Damera Ram Raju, elder brother of Rakesh, will be given a suitable job based on his eligibility and vacancies in Warangal.
On June 17, hundreds of youths had protested against the Centre's Agnipath scheme.
Meanwhile, Railway police continue to question key suspects in the arson case including Sai Defence Academy owner A Subba Rao. Police said that some of the key associates of Rao were seen at the railway station at the time of the violence.
While producing 10 accused arrested in the arson case including Rathod Pruthviraj and D Santosh, against whom video evidence was available, on Wednesday before the magistrate, police mentioned in the remand report that Sai Defence Academy owner A Subba Rao and his associate Shiva have supported the protesters.
"The accused confessed that while they were in the mob, some of the academy students discussed that Subba Rao and Shiva of Sai Defence Academy were supporting them and they also posted a photo of both of them in the Hakimpet Soldiers WhatsApp group. They also said that Subba Rao supported the agitators by providing logistics," the remand report stated.
Police said that after the announcement of the Agnipath program by the union government, army job aspirants who have already cleared physical and medical tests, have formed/joined several WhatsApp groups
The police found out that Subba Rao was a member of some of those Whatsapp groups. While he was present in the city at the time of the violence, he was not near Secunderabad. "But his associates, Shiva and Malla Reddy were seen at the railway station along with protesters. They were wearing masks," police said.
