Thiruvananthapuram: 77-year-old man injured in accident dies

A 77-year-old man who met with an accident last week succumbed to his injuries at Trivandrum Medical College Hospital (TMCH) on Friday morning.The deceased has been identified as Raveendran Nair of Pratheesh Bhavan at Arayur near Chenkal at Neyyattinkara.

Thiruvananthapuram: A 77-year-old man who met with an accident last week succumbed to his injuries at Trivandrum Medical College Hospital (TMCH) on Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Raveendran Nair of Pratheesh Bhavan at Arayur near Chenkal at Neyyattinkara.
On June 17, the bike in which he was travelling was hit behind by another two-wheeler near Arayur at 6.30pm.
Severely injured on his head, Nair was taken to the TMCH. After his condition turned worse, he was shifted to the ICU and died there on Friday. After the postmortem, the body was sent to relatives and cremated.
Parassala police have registered a case under Section 304-A of the IPC for causing death by negligence. Police have not yet identified the person who caused the accident.
Nair leaves behind his wife Vasanthi (65) and children Preethi (47) and Pratheesh (43).
