DARBHANGA: The state level combined entrance test (CET) for admission in two-year B Ed course, which was scheduled to be held on June 23, will now be conducted on July 6. The test will be held from 11am to 1pm at 325 centres spread over 11 cities in the state.
A decision to conduct the CET-BEd 2022 was taken by the vice-chancellor of Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU), Prof S P Singh, on Friday after an online consultation with district magistrates and authorised officers in nine districts.
LNMU is the designated nodal university for conducting CET-BEd.
According to the state nodal officer of CET-BEd, Ashok Mehta, the CET-2022 was postponed due to unavoidable reasons after taking permission from the governor-cum-chancellor of state universities, Phagu Chauhan. “Only the date of the entrance test has changed,” Mehta said.
He added: "More than 1.91 lakh candidates have registered for the test. The number of women candidates stands at 97,495 followed by 94,046 men. The exam centres are located at 11 district headquarters — Patna, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Madhepura, Purnea, Ara, Hajipur, Munger and Chhapra. Those candidates, who have not downloaded their admit cards so far, should do it from the official website of the CET BEd.”
