UPRTOU hikes fees for courses

Prayagraj: If you are among the one planning to pursue any of the courses from Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU), you will have to pay more money against the fee for the desired course. The lone open university of the state has hiked the fee for different courses from the coming academic session (2022-23), admission for which would start from June 25.
The fee has been increased after the approval of the varsity’s top decision-making body, the Executive Council (EC). There has been an increase of 12 to 20 percent in the fees for undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Although the university has started the process of online application submission for admission in PhD, BEd, MCA and MBA courses, it would open the admission window for other UG, PG and diploma courses for the new academic session from June 25. This time, in academic session the open university would be offering admission in 126 courses.
Now the annual fee for PhD would be Rs 20,000 against Rs 10,000 taken earlier. Likewise, the fee for MBA has been increased from Rs 16,200 to Rs 18,200. Similarly, those wishing to enroll for MCA will now have to pay Rs 17,200 instead of Rs 15,200 annually. The annual fee of BEd course too has been increased from Rs 16,200 to Rs 18,500. The annual fee for BA meanwhile has been increased from Rs 3,700 to Rs 4,500 and that of MA from Rs 7,200 per annum to Rs 8,500. tnn
