The Soqosoqo Vakamarama within the Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) has sought the vanua of Rewa’s approval for the Gone Marama Bale Na Roko Tui Dreketi Ro Teimumu Kepa to stand again under the SODELPA banner in the 2022 General Election.

The association’s president, Miliakere Leawere, revealed this during the party’s 2022 annual general meeting (AGM) at Sila Village in Nadroga today.

She said women representation in parliament was pivotal.

Ro Teimumu had earlier stated that she would retire from politics and that she would not be standing in this year’s election.

Party leader Viliame Gavoka said the inclusion of Ro Teimumu back into the party would be a bonus.

He said he was happy to work alongside Ro Teimumu.
