Allahabad high court reserves verdict on Samajwadi Party MLA's petition

The Allahabad high court has reserved its judgment in a petition filed by Pallavi Singh Patel, Samajwadi Party MLA from Sirathu, against the notice of the Election Commission to her for allegedly not disclosing criminal cases pending against her.

PRAYAGRAJ: The Allahabad high court has reserved its judgment in a petition filed by Pallavi Singh Patel, Samajwadi Party MLA from Sirathu, against the notice of the Election Commission to her for allegedly not disclosing criminal cases pending against her.
Pallavi had defeated UP deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya on Sirathu seat in UP elelctions.
A bench of Justice Sunita Agrawal and Justice Vikram D Chauhan reserved its verdict after hearing the arguments of Patel's advocate Saroj Yadav, EC counsel senior advocate Rakesh Pandey and additional advocate general Neeraj Tripathi on Thursday.
Patel had allegedly concealed the information about the criminal cases against her in nomination papers filed for assemblypolls, the disclosure of which is necessary as per direction of the apex court.
