Ahmedabad records 166 new Covid cases

AHMEDABAD: The city on Saturday recorded 166 new Covid positive cases, accounting for 40% of Gujarat's tally of 419. In the past four days, Gujarat has recorded three days of 400-plus daily cases. Saturday's tally was the highest in 126 days.
Analysis of the cases in eight municipal corporations and rest of Gujarat indicated that while the past three days have recorded 75% of daily cases from the cities, it was 82% in the preceding 10 days - indicating rise of Covid cases in non-urban areas, too.
With discharge of 129 patients, the active cases in Ahmedabad reached 1,047, whereas the number was 2,299 in Gujarat. With the update, only 6 out of 33 districts in Gujarat have zero active cases.
