Bypoll Results 2022: BJP Wins Rampur, Azamgarh Lok Sabha Seats in UP; PM Modi Thanks Voters | Highlights

In Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Durgesh Pathak has won Rajinder Nagar bypoll by over 11,000 votes.

Lok Sabha Byelection Result 2022 Latest Updates: The counting for June 23 by-polls to three Lok Sabha and seven Assembly seats started 8 AM on Sunday. The three Lok Sabha seats that are up for grabs are Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur and Azamgarh, and Punjab’s Sangrur. Meanwhile, the seven assembly seats are spread across the nation — Rajinder Nagar in Delhi, Mandar in Jharkhand, Atmakur in Andhra Pradesh and Agartala, Town Bordowali, Surma and Jabarajnagar in Tripura.

BJP candidate Ghanshyam Lodhi won with a margin of over 40,000 votes in Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur, while party nominee Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirahua’ won in Azamgarh.

Likewise, Simranjit Singh Mann of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) won with a margin of over 7,000 votes in in Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s stronghold Sangrur.

In Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Durgesh Pathak has won Rajinder Nagar bypoll by over 11,000 votes.

In similar mannerin Tripura, bypolls were held on three Assembly seats – Agartala, Jubarajnagar, Surma and Town Bardowali. Chief Minister Manik Saha won in Town Bardowali by a margin of over 6,000 votes.

In Andhra Pradesh’s Atmakur, Mekapati Vikram Reddy of the ruling YSR Congress won the bypoll election.
