Lucknow: Free coaching for UPSC exams begins for needy

Bringing relief to financially weaker students aiming for civil services, the UP government has decided to enrol them in best coaching institutes in Lucknow, Prayagraj and Delhi.

LUCKNOW: Bringing relief to financially weaker students aiming for civil services, the UP government has decided to enrol them in best coaching institutes in Lucknow, Prayagraj and Delhi.
The social welfare department will bear the expenses to be incurred on coaching and purchasing learning material to the extent of Rs 45,000. Another Rs 10,000 will be given for accommodation purposes.
Director, social welfare department, Rakesh Kumar said only those students who have qualified civil services preliminary exam can avail this benefit.
All interested students can apply till July 5, either by downloading the form online or taking a physical copy from the office.
Students can also apply for coaching institutes run by the social welfare department. Here, the government provides free of cost classes, living and food. Students of SC/ST and OBC categories can apply for CSM Research and Training Centre, Lucknow, Sant Ravidas IAS-PCS Coaching Centre, Varanasi, Dr BR Ambedkar Training Centre in Agra and Aligarh, and Judicial Services Coaching Centre in Prayagraj. Girl candidates from similar categories can apply for Adarsh Coaching Centre, Lucknow. Students of SC community together can also apply for Government IAS-PCS Coaching Centre in Hapur.
