Bengaluru: Massive rush at IKEA’s new outlet launch, Nagasandra Metro station packed with commuters

The Swedish home furnishings retailer IKEA's launch in Bengaluru's Nagasandra witnessed mad rush of buyers. Huge crowd at the metro and parking forced many customers to wait for at least 3 hours to enter. Ikea had to close the gate for some time after security guards couldn’t manage the crowd. Many people relied on Metro to get to the Ikea outlet, located behind Nagasandra station. Green Line is normally less crowded on weekends but many passengers said it was jam-packed on Saturday.
