“The public has given a clear message to parivarvadis, casteist and communal elements,” Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in his victory speech at the state party headquarters on Sunday, hailing the Bharatiya Janata Party’s victory in the bypolls in Rampur and Azamgarh, considered the stronghold of the Samajwadi Party.
Congratulating the BJP candidates and workers, Yogi said, “The victory in the bypolls has set the tone for the 2024 general elections and the party is poised to get 80 LS seats in UP. People have shown their trust in the double-engine government under PM Narendra Modi. Good governance and public welfare policies have overthrown corruption, hooliganism and terrorism.”
The victory of BJP candidate Ghanshayam Singh Lodhi in Rampur Lok Sabha bypoll and Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirahua’ in Azamgarh reflects the faith of the public in the BJP’s double engine governance and has affirmed the BJP’s positive and development-oriented approach, which ensures upliftment of every section of society without any discrimination, Yogi asserted.
The by-poll wins in Azamgarh and Rampur are historic. It indicates wide-scale acceptance and support for the double engine Governments at the Centre and in UP. “The win stands testimony to the good governance of the BJP and the tireless efforts as well as hard work of dedicated BJP workers have given incredible results in such challenging places,” he said, adding, “I express my deepest gratitude to the people of Rampur and Azamgarh for believing in the BJP.”
Throwing light on the success of the BJP in winning public support, Yogi said, “After the thumping victory in the assembly elections, the BJP won massive seats in the Legislative Council elections, now in the elections in Azamgarh and in Rampur as well the party has fared well exceptionally. Double engine has fetched double win!”
“The BJP will continue to work under PM Modi’s able leadership on the path of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas aur Sabka Vishwas’. This is the reason people have rejected negative forces with destructive, dynastic approach,” Yogi stated.
