Deadly crash in Winston-Salem takes life of 57-year-old

A 57-year-old man is dead following a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon. According to a news release, Winston-Salem police officers were called to the intersection of Old Walkertown Road and Davis Road just before 3 p.m. regarding the crash. When officers arrived, they found Charles Wesley Voncannon, 57, dead at the scene. Investigators said that Voncannon had been riding south on a motorcycle on Old Walkertown Road when someone driving a vehicle west on Davis Road failed to yield and collided with Voncannon in the intersection. WSPD's Traffic Enforcement Unit investigation into the crash is ongoing, police said.

A 57-year-old man is dead following a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon.
According to a news release, Winston-Salem police officers were called to the intersection of Old Walkertown Road and Davis Road just before 3 p.m. regarding the crash.

When officers arrived, they found Charles Wesley Voncannon, 57, dead at the scene.
Investigators said that Voncannon had been riding south on a motorcycle on Old Walkertown Road when someone driving a vehicle west on Davis Road failed to yield and collided with Voncannon in the intersection.
