Jhargram, June 26:  An anti-drug awareness padyatra (foot march) was taken out on the occasion of International Anti Drug Day by Jhargram District and Police Administrations and the Excise Department. District Magistrate (DM) Sunil Agarwal, Police Captain Arijit Sinha, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Babulal Mahto and other administrative officials participated in the anti drug campaign.

The Padyatra passed through several localities and campaigned against drug and other intoxicants’ abuse by making people of devastating effects they had on people, families and societies. SP Arijit Sinha said that saying ‘no’ to drugs required social support to the administration’s efforts as that would go a long way in making Jhargram a drug-free city. He exhorted citizens to come forward and join the campaign against drugs.
