Indore: Three arrested for snatching mobile phones from girls

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Three youths were arrested for snatching mobile phones from the girls in Sanyogitaganj area, police said on Sunday. The accused allegedly confessed to snatching mobile phones from 11 persons in the city. Further investigation is underway into the case.

Sanyogitaganj police station in-charge Tahjib Kaji said that information was received that some youths were active in snatching mobile phones, especially from the girls in the area. A team was formed to keep an eye on the suspects in the civil dress. The police team had received a bike number and was searching for the accused.

During the investigation, police checked more than 100 CCTVs installed in the area and managed to arrest three persons named Rishi alias Goldy, a resident of Bhuri Tekri in Manavta Nagar area, Akash alias Bavadi of Pipliyahana area and Dheeraj alias Abhishek of Kailashpuri area of the city.

The accused allegedly confessed to snatching 11 mobile phones in different areas of the city. Accused Rishi was earlier arrested by the Tilak Nagar police station staff in connection with a mobile phone theft. After being released from jail, he again started committing such crimes with two other accused. Kaji said that they mostly targeted girls.
