Pune: Techie held for raping junior colleague

PUNE : The Hinjewadi police on Saturday arrested a 31-year-old software engineer from Bavdhan on the charge of raping his junior colleague after forcing her to drink liquor.
The 21-year-old woman stated in her complaint that the suspect raped her twice by threatening to make her private photographs public.
Assistant inspector CM Borkar of the Hinjewadi police said the complainant and the suspect work in the same software company in Bavdhan.“On June 6, the suspect had invited her to his house at Bavdhan for dinner, where he forced her to drink liquor. He raped her when she was intoxicated,” said Borkar.
He said the suspect threatened the girl saying he had her private photographs and will make them public if she doesn’t visit his house again.
