3 die as car collides with truck, 1 injured

Mandya: Three persons, two of them revenue officials, were killed and one person was seriously injured in an accident as their car hit a truck head-on near Nagamangala town on Sunday. The police said Devaraju (42), Manjunatha (52) and Manjaiah were killed on the spot. Swamy (50) was injured.
Devaraju was a resident of Bireshwara village of Nagamangala taluk and Manjunath was from Vadesamudra village of Pandavapura taluk.Manjaiah was from Kennalu village of Mandya taluk.
Devaraju was working as a village accountant in Kennalu and Manjunath was a village assistant in Kanaganamaradi. Another victim, Manjaiah, was a farmer. Swamy works as a village assistant in Damarahalli village, the police said.
The car was travelling towards Pandavapura from Nagamangala.
Swamy was admitted to a hospital in Mysuru and his condition is critical. A case has been registered in Nagamangala town police station. TNN
