IMD Update: Heavy Rainfall & Thunderstorm Warnings for These States, Check Full Forecast Here

It is quite likely that isolated areas of Bihar will experience thunderstorms, lightning, and winds with gust of 30 to 40 kph. Multiple states and UTs, including MP, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, and Lakshadweep, have reported isolated lighting incidents.

Prior forecasts by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) indicated that Monday will see more rainfall (June 27). Heavy rains, thunderstorms, and stormy weather are expected in several states, according to the most recent weather warning that has been issued on Sunday, June 26 at 7:45 p.m.

Heavy rainfall alert

Over the Konkan and Goa, IMD predicts very likely heavy to very heavy rainfall in isolated locations. Several North and Eastern states – Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, West Bengal (Sub-Himalayan), Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gujarat, Maharashtra (Madhya), Karnataka (Coastal), Kerala – are expected to receive spells of heavy rainfall at isolated places.

Squally weather

Squally weather with wind speeds between 40 and 50 kmph with gusts to 60 kmph is very likely to occur along and off the coasts of south Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, and Karnataka in the east-central and northeast Arabian Sea. In addition, IMD has issued a warning for today's catching fish, predicting strong winds of 50 to 60 kph with gusts up to 70 kph across the southwest and the west-central the Arabian Sea.

Delhi Weather Forecast

The highest temperature was projected to be approximately 41 degrees Celsius, with a partly overcast sky throughout the day. Due to a thundery development on Monday, the temperature may fall to 38 degrees Celsius.
