WBPRB Constable Recruitment 2022: Application for Over 1,600 Posts End Today, Apply Through Direct Link

Today, June 27, is the last day to submit an online application for a position as a constable or lady constable with the Kolkata Police. The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board is conducting the hiring process for 1,666 vacancies. The registration process can be completed by visiting the prb.wb.gov.in website.

256 vacancies are for Lady Constables out of the total number of openings, while the remaining 1,410 positions are for Constables.

Steps to apply for WBPRB Constable recruitment 2022:

  • Visit the website wb.gov.in.

  • Click on the link for Apply Online given on the main page.

  • Select the link for recruitment to “Post of Constables/Lady Constables in Kolkata Police 2022” and choose apply option.

  • Enter the required details.

  • Pay the WBPRB application fee and submit the form.

  • Take a printout for future use.

Application fee:

The application price for all applicants is Rs 150, while the processing charge is Rs 20, with the exception of the SC/ST category (limited to West Bengal). Candidates who fall under the SC/ST category will only be required to pay a processing fee of Rs 20.

Eligibility criteria:

As on January 1, 2022, applicants must be between the ages of 18 to 27. The candidate must have completed the Madhyamik Examination or a test with a common focus. The official notification states that "the applicant must be able to speak, read, and write the Bengali language," with the exception that "the provision would not apply to the individuals who are permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts." The West Bengal Official Language Act, 1961 (West Ben. Act XXIV of 1961) provisions will be in effect for people of the mentioned districts. You may view the job posting here.

Selection process:

The selection process for candidates will include a preliminary written test, a physical measurement test (PMT), a physical efficiency test (PET), a final written test, and an interview. Candidates can go to the WBPRB website for further information.
