PATNA: State road constriction minister Nitin Nabin on Monday said the detailed project report (DPR) of five railway over bridges (ROBs), which will come up at different places in the state, have been made ready and the government was working closely with the railways to complete the required processes for other ROBs.
While replying to a question raised by RJD MLC Ramchandra Purbey in the legislative council, Nabin said the state government and the railways had reached an agreement in 2019 to construct 62 ROBs in Bihar instead of level crossings on state highways and major district roads.
“Of the 62 upcoming ROBs, 51 will be made by Bihar Raj Pul Nirman Nigam Limited and 11 by Bihar State Road Development Corporation Limited,” he added.
To another question related to a damaged portion of road near Sakri Chowk on Darbhanga-Madhubani main road raised by Congress MLC Prem Chandra Mishra, Nabin said he would get the matter investigated and take action against the officials for giving “misleading answers”.
Another MLC, Sanjeev Kumar Singh, raised the issue of shortage of teachers and scientists at Dr Kalam Agricultural College in Kishanganj, which functions under Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour.
Replying to Singh’s question, agriculture minister Amrandra Pratap Singh said the recruitment could not be done as there was no permanent VC in the university. He added the government would not do much on the matter as it is under the jurisdiction of the Raj Bhavan.
