PRAYAGRAJ: The district police declared a cash reward of Rs 25,000 each on the five accused absconding in connection with the June 10 violence and arson that had rocked Atala and adjoining areas of the Old City in Prayagraj after Friday prayers. The five absconding accused are Umar Khalid of Shahganj, Faisal Khan of Kareli, Dr Ashish Mittal of Civil Lines, Zeeshan Rahmani of Pura Mufti, and Shah Alam of Kareli.
Shah is the district president of All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) while Faisal Khan is a Samajwadi Party corporator.

SSP Prayagraj Ajay Kumar said a reward of Rs 25,000 each has been declared on the arrest of the five accused who are evading arrest since the June 10 incident and have failed to surrender despite being warned.
