Video purports to show teachers boozing in car, probe ordered

Vadodara: The Mahisagar district primary education officer (DPEO) has ordered an official to probe into a video that shows some men believed to be primary school teachers consuming alcohol. The video was shot in a moving car.
The video that surfaced on Monday shows the men sitting inside a car swaying to the tunes of folk music. They also have bottles in their hands and one of the bottles is that of a prominent budget liquor brand.
The controversy, however, began after word spread that some men in the video were school teachers. One of them is also said to be a politician holding a taluka panchayat seat. The information reached in-charge Mahisagar DPEO Aarat Baria who has asked the Virpur taluka primary education officer to look into the matter. “It is being said that the teachers are from Virpur taluka and hence we have asked the taluka primary education officer to inquire into the matter,” he said.
This is the second video of its kind to surface within 10 days from the district. Earlier, a video of a group of persons having a liquor party had gone viral.
It was alleged that they had political connections.
