Suvendu faces TMC protests in Kol, Cooch Behar

Kolkata/Cooch Behar: Trinamool Congress student-youth activists staged protests in front of the office of central investigating agencies in Salt Lake on Monday, asking why they were not questioning BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, accused in the Saradha and Narada tapes case.
In Cooch Behar, TMC supporters shouted “go back” slogans at Adhikari and blocked roads of a BJP rally taken out to mark eight years of Modi government.
BJP-turned-Trinamool leader Babul Supriyo addressed the gathering in Salt Lake. “I was in BJP for long. In my eight years’ tenure as a minister, I have seen how BJP is running central investigating agencies. The same thing is getting repeated in Maharashtra now,” he said.
Suvendu, however, didn’t pay heed to the Trinamool complaint. “What is happening in Maharashtra will happen soon in Bengal,” he said. tnn
