Varanasi man kills father over property dispute

VARANASI: In a dispute over division of property, a man brutally murdered his father by slitting his throat in Ahirpurva village under the limits of Sikandarpur police station in Ballia district on Sunday late night.
ASP Ballia Durga Prasad Tiwari said that police had arrested the accused son Ajay Chaudhary on Monday and also recovered the weapon used in slitting the throat of his father Lallan Chaudhary (60).
Ajay was upset after Lallan had registered his entire property in the name of the wife of his younger son Sanjay Chaudhary. Killing took place in the same dispute, he added.
During initial investigation by police it came to light that as per his daily routine Lallan reached the place of his brother Rampravesh Yadav to sleep after having dinner at his residence on Sunday night. On Monday morning the body of Lallan was found lying in a pool of blood on his cot.
His family members immediately reported the matter to police. Following initil investigation at the murder spot, cops sent the body for postmortem examination. Later, Ajay was arrested.
