This week, if the #1 channel in our Global Top 50 had its viewership cut in half, it would still be one of the ten most-watched YouTube channels in the world.

The top five channels in the chart are all online video powerhouses. They were the only hubs to surpass 400 million views this week.
Chart Toppers
Though many channels in this chart are mighty, none are in the same stratosphere as T-Series.
The Indian record label ended a strong June by staying atop our Global Top 50. With 631 million weekly views, T-Series slightly increased its traffic since our previous update, and it also inched closer to a few notable milestones. Next week, the channel will likely receive its 195 billionth view of all time.
Speaking of channels with big lifetime viewership, only T-Series has more all-time hits than Cocomelon – Nursery Rhymes, which earned the #2 spot in the Global Top 50 this week. Cocomelon, based in the U.S. and owned by U.K.-based Moonbug, has cultivated a global appeal with its family-friendly animations. Over our latest measurement period, those clips picked up 595.1 million weekly views, which was good for a week-over-week traffic bump of 21%.
The next two channels in our worldwide chart are both owned and operated by Sony. The Japan-based entertainment giant has found massive success on YouTube with its Indian channels, two of which have become regular entries near the front of our Global Top 50. SET India, which ranked third in our latest ranking, has moved as high as #1 before. The 583.8 million weekly views it received this week aren’t enough for it to return to that top position, though it exemplifies the massive size of the Indian YouTube market.
SET India’s sister channel, Sony SAB, also fared well. It was able to improve upon the fifth-place finish it earned last week by picking up 432.9 million weekly views. That bumped it up to fourth and pushed its lifetime viewership close to 80 billion views. Clearly, there’s a big appetite for the channel’s comedy shows among South Asian consumers.
Beter Böcük rounds out this week’s global top five. The Turkish channel added 423.2 million weekly views by following several different online video trends. Its videos feature a child protagonist and are often distributed on YouTube Shorts.
Top Gainers
Thanks to creators like Dhar Mann and Paul Vu, morally-just content has become one of the most dependable formats for YouTube Shorts creators. Any video that ends with a bad actor getting their just desserts can appeal to viewers around the world and rise in our rankings.
But before that sort of content was proliferated on documentary-style YouTube channels, it was the stuff of fiction. Movie Boo, a Canadian channel that appears in our latest Global Top 50, is gathering a huge audience by sharing moments of moral comeuppance that pop up in films and TV shows.
At its heart, Movie Boo is just a channel filled with film clips, but if you look at its most popular videos, a clear trend emerges. Movie Boo has gotten tens of millions of views by celebrating great teachers and sticking it to scammers. It just so happens that those teachers and scammers are fictional — but the morals they stand for are very real.
Movie Boo’s most-watched video, viewed more than 53 million times, teaches a lesson of its own. I would agree that making positive impressions on your first day of work is important, though I don’t know if a movie is the best vehicle for imparting that piece of advice.
Thanks to videos like that one, Movie Boo was able to make its first appearance in the Global Top 50. Its 173.8 million weekly views put it in 46th place in our Global Top 50. Not only is that total good for a 25% week-over-week increase, but it also pushes Movie Boo past a big milestone. The channel has now received one billion YouTube views. In the context of this chart, that means Movie Boo is just starting out.

Here’s a breakdown of the Top 50 Most Viewed channels this week in terms of their countries of origin:
- United States: 17 channels in the Top 50.
- India: 15 channels in the Top 50.
- Pakistan: 3 channels in the Top 50.
- Japan and Turkey: 2 channels in the Top 50.
- Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, The Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Russia, and Vietnam: 1 each in the Top 50.
This week, 27 channels in the Top 50 are primarily active on YouTube Shorts.
