Motorists and commuters were caught up in a massive traffic jam at the railway overbridge connecting New Vaddem and Shantinagar in Vasco on Monday morning.
Ward councillor Sudesh Bhosle said the traffic jam has been a regular phenomenon on both sides of the railway overbridge during peak hours.
"Several motorists are put to hardship during peak hours as they want to drop their children to schools. Children and office-goers often reach late due to the massive traffic jam. There is a constant demand from motorists and parents to deploy traffic police personnel at the railway overbridge, which could streamline the traffic movement and give relief to the motorists and the parents,” said Bhosle.
