Interpretation centre built in 96 hours in Tirupur
The ground-breaking ceremony of the interpretation ceremony was held on Friday and the project was completed on Tuesday.
COIMBATORE: An interpretation centre that can accommodate up to 200 people has been built in a portion of a science park near Chinnakalipalayam in Tirupur in 96 hours using the precast engineering method.
Implemented under the Namakku Naame Thittam jointly by the city corporation and Teemage Builders Private Limited, the structure was built to conduct environmental awareness classes for the students.

Addressing the gathering during the inaugural session on Tuesday, mayor N Dinesh Kumar said the corporation contributed Rs 25 lakh and another Rs 25 lakh was borne by the private firm to build the centre.
He added that the ground-breaking ceremony of the interpretation ceremony was held on Friday and the project was completed on Tuesday.
T R Sivaram, founder-trustee of Tirupur-based NGO Vetry, said his organisation along with the Institute of Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding (IFGTB) is on a mission to plant 50 species of bamboo and 30 rare and endangered plants at the science park.
