Agnipath scheme: Youth Congress workers stage 'rail roko' protest in Nagpur

Youth Congress workers staged a protest at Ajni Railway Station in Nagpur, Maharashtra on June 27. The protest was held against the Centre's Agnipath military recruitment scheme. The 'rail roko' agitation was led by Bunty Shelke, the General-Secretary of the Youth Congress. The protesters lay on tracks to block passenger trains and raised slogans, demanding a rollback of the scheme. Police arrived on the scene and detained several protesters. Later, the train was allowed to proceed.
