Kaskaskia College President George Evans says the college will study the future direction of the Salem Education Center upon the retirement of longtime center
director Janice Eischens.
Evans comments came after the board accepted Eischens retirement effective August 1st.
“Take a look at the hours of operation and look at what the student’s needs are but also take a look at what we may be missing in the area and if we have to adjust our hours accordingly and offer more evening and potential weekend options instead of being open 8a-8p at the other Education Centers. We are going to have to take a hard look.”
Evans promised the Salem Education Center would continue to serve the needs of the Salem area in the future.
