AGRA: A 13-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by four persons including two minor boys, who also recorded their act and later made it viral in her village in Mathura’s Jaint area. An FIR was registered on Tuesday and two of the accused were apprehended by police.
Circle officer (Sadar) Praveen Kumar Malik said that the FIR has been registered under relevant IPC Section and under POCSO Act on the basis of a complaint filed by the victim’s father.
He said that two of the four accused, including one of the minor boys, have been taken into police custody. Medical examination of the girl is being conducted.
He added that the victim’s statement will be recorded before the magistrate and further action will be taken on its basis. Two accused are major— Pramod (19) and Mukesh Kumar (22) while the other two are minors. The incident took place on June 10, as mentioned by the complainant.
In the complaint, the victim’s father, who works as a taxi driver, stated that some youths from his village took his daughter to a house on pretext of providing her free wood sticks and took turns to rape her. They also filmed the act and threatened her to make the video viral if she disclosed the incident to anyone. The accused were also carrying weapons, the complainant claimed.
“They again tried to take my daughter for the same purpose but when she refused, they made the video viral across the village,” the victim’s father stated in the police complaint, adding that her daughter is living in extreme fear.
