No inundation in monsoon: New LMC chief

Lucknow: IAS officer Indrajit Singh took charge as municipal commissioner of Lucknow on Tuesday.
“My priority will be to ensure that Lucknow continues to be among the cleanest cities of the country like Indore and Chandigarh. Since monsoon is around the corner, LMC would ensure no waterlogging takes place anywhere in the city,” Singh said while interacting with reporters.
“I believe in a transparent system as it is a must to ensure smooth functioning of the civic body. Besides, support of employees is equally important. Thus, steps will be taken to resolve employees’ issues and a zero tolerance policy would be followed against corruption,” he added. Singh further said that efforts would be made to increase the LMC revenue.
“We will also develop a system for quick redressal of civic issues,” he added.
