MYSURU: A mother committed suicide after allegedly killing her two children in Ramegowdanapura village under the T Narasipura police limits.
In her complaint, Puttamma, the mother of the deceased woman Roja, blamed her son-in-law Ningaraju. According to the police, Roja, 30, commited suicide after killing her daughters Pushpanjali (5), and Geethanjali (3) on Monday evening.
The incident came to light when her mother saw the bodies hanging in a room, the cops said.
Puttamma alleged that Roja took the extreme step as she was physically and mentally tortured by her husband.
According to the police, Roja married Ningaraju S of Mavinahalli village of the T Narasipur taluk six years ago. Initially, the couple were happy but Ningaraju allegedly started abusing Roja later, the police said. The post-morterm has been done. “We have launched an investigation,” the police said.
Man arrested for beheading wife
A farmer was arrested for allegedly beheading his wife suspecting her fidelity at Channahalli village in Mysuru taluk on Monday. They were married for 22 years and have a 20-year-old daughter, the police said.
Varuna police said Devaraj (55) of Chettanhalli was taken into custody for allegedly beheading his wife Puttamma (45). TNN
