PATNA: Education minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary on Tuesday called upon the teachers to give their best to the students and help improve the quality of education in the state. The state government is taking care of all the teachers right from primary to university stage, he said.
Handing over the appointment letters to as many as 356 lecturers of different teachers’ training institutions in the state at a function held here at the education department the minister said that training and inspection were the two important aspects of educational reforms and, hence, the role of newly-appointed teachers of training institutions assumes greater significance.

“The true face of the education department is reflected in the quality of education rendered to the students of an institution located in a remote area. The quality of education imparted by teachers in different schools depends upon the quality of their own training and, hence, the role of newly-recruited training college teachers becomes more important and crucial,” he said.
Addressing the teachers, education department’s additional chief secretary Dipak Kumar Singh said there have been several significant changes in the curriculum and the mode of teaching and evaluation following the implementation of new education policy at the national level.
“Therefore, it is the responsibility of teachers’ training institutions to ensure effective implementation of the new curriculum along with the innovative methods of teaching in schools,” Singh said and expressed hope that the newly appointed teachers would perform their duties quite sincerely in the larger interest of the society.
The directors of secondary and primary education besides other officials of the department were present on the occasion.
