HR College closed its first merit list for BCom at 97% last year, it is 93.5% this year. The cut-off for the sought-after BMS course has also gone down. "The merit list is currently based only on applicants from the HSC board. It will not be ideal to compare the cut-offs with previous years," HR College principal Pooja Ramchandani said.
At KC College, admissions to BA-psychology closed at 92.2% as against 96.4% last year in the first list.
Vice-chancellor of HSNC University Hemlata Bagla said, "In the second phase, we will again have the first merit list as it will be a fresh process for CBSE and ISC students. Interestingly, the cut-offs for BSc-information technology have gone up by 2% and in some courses the difference is only marginal, which shows even HSC students have done well."
Jai Hind, NM and Mithibai colleges will not release their first list on Wednesday. St Xavier's will come out with a partial list for some of its courses.
Ruia College has decided to release the list. Principal Anushree Lokur said students from other boards will be adjusted in the additional seats that the university will approve later.
