Scanty rain in Kolhapur, yellow alert till June 30

Isolated parts of Kolhapur and Satara districts may get heavy to very heavy rainfall along with ligthning till Thursday, an alert from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has indicated.

As per the IMD, Kolhapur received 13.8mm rainfall in the last 24 hours recorded till Tuesday evening
KOLHAPUR: Isolated parts of Kolhapur and Satara districts may get heavy to very heavy rainfall along with ligthning till Thursday, an alert from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has indicated.
Parts of Kolhapur district received light to moderate showers on early Tuesday morning and then again late in the evening. Clear blue skies were seen in the noon in Kolhapur city.
Isolated parts of Sangli and Solapur also received some drizzles on Tuesday.
As per district disaster management officials, the dam catchment areas in Kolhapur district have been receiving heavy rainfall since the last three days. The dam catchment area in Radhanagari, Kalammawadi, Manoli, Warna Gagan-Bawda, Kode, Chitri have got good rainfall and is a good sign for the district.
As per the IMD, Kolhapur received 13.8mm rainfall, Satara received 9.7mm rainfall, Solapur received 1.1mm rainfall while Sangli received 1.4mm rainfall in the last 24 hours recorded till Tuesday evening.
Kolhapur recorded an increase in maximum temperature to reach 30.0 degrees Celsius on Tuesday while Satara recorded a maximum temperature of 29.4 degrees Celsius. Sangli recorded maximum temperature of 32.2 degrees celsius.
