With three signings already through the door, Arsenal have already enjoyed a busy start to the summer transfer window. But boss Mikel Arteta is still not content with his squad and keen to sign several other stars.

Matt Turner, Marquinhos and Fabio Vieira have officially arrived at the Emirates Stadium, and Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus is expected to be announced soon after passing his medical and being caught wearing an Arsenal shirt. But strengthening his midfield and defence still remains a priority for Arteta.

Ajax central defender Lisandro Martinez is a top target this summer, though the Gunners face competition from Manchester United to secure his signature. Erik ten Hag is keen to reunite with his former Ajax player and therefore the Red Devils appear to be leading the race for the Argentinean - which will come as a hammer blow to Arsenal given that they have already had two bids for the defender rejected this summer already.

Arsenal enquire about Dybala

Arsenal and Manchester United have not given up hope of luring Paulo Dybala to the Premier League according to reports.

The ex-Juventus striker is a free agent after running his contract down in Turin, though he was expected to remain in the Serie A and sign with Inter Milan this summer.

However, a new report from La Repubblica, via GIFN, has claimed that an agreement between Dybala and Inter is 'not close' and that the Gunners and Manchester United have made enquiries with Dybala's agent, Jorge Antun. Napoli are also keeping tabs on the Argentinian striker's situation.

Arsenal have been linked with a return for their former star Serge Gnabry, as the German could leave Bayern Munich in the near future.

Gnabry has snubbed a new contract thus far, and his current deal expires at the end of next season.

Arsenal could look to bring Gnabry back to the Emirates after falling short to Chelsea in the race for Raphinha, but the Daily Star have claimed that Manchester United have now joined the race after their recent blow with Cristiano Ronaldo wanting to leave.

Arsenal and United continue to battle for targets, and that trend shows no sign of stopping.

Tielemans agrees terms

Youri Tielemans has agreed terms with Arsenal already in the event of a summer move, but no bid has been made by the Gunners just yet.

That's according to journalist Ben Jacobs, who claims that personal agreements have already been sorted, but Arsenal are still yet to make a formal bid.

Tielemans is out of contract at Leicester next summer, and is unlikely to sign a new deal.

Arthur interest revived

Arsenal are understood to remain 'very interested' in Juventus midfilder Arthur Melo having since a move fall through back in Janaury.

Back then, the Gunners were expected to complete a loan move for the Brazilian, only for it to hit the buffers over the terms of the agreement between the two clubs. However, it seems there's a chance a deal could well be revived this summer.

According to Calciomercato, Juventus are keen to cut down their wage bill this summer and that could result in Arthur being offloaded. The Italian outlet name Arsenal as a ‘possible track’ and claim the Gunners ‘have shown the most attention’ in the midfielder in recent times.

It is noted that the north Londoners are merely monitoring the 25-year-old and have shown no significant desire to push for his signature, as of yet, this summer.

Newcastle in for Tielemans

Newcastle United have reportedly joined the race to join sign Youri Tielemans.

Arsenal have been chasing a deal for the Leicester City playmaker all summer, but a deal has failed to materialise.

And CBS Sports have now claimed that Newcastle are also keen on Tielemans and could rival the Gunners for his signature.

Gunners set to offload youngster

Arsenal have reportedly decided to offload young midfielder James Olayinka this summer.

The 21-year-old has had spells on loan at Northampton Town and Southend United in recent years, but was plagued by injuries last term and has just one year remaining on his current deal at the Emirates.

And according to All Nigeria Soccer, Arsenal are planning to sell the youngster this summer.

Arsenal praised for bagging "top-notch" Jesus

Dean Saunders has lauded Arsenal for capturing Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.

The Gunners have sealed a £45million deal for the Brazilian forward and are expected to officially confirm Jesus' arrival imminently.

And Saunders has claimed that the Gunners have pulled off a real coup by landing the 25-year-old.

He told talkSPORT, via HITC: “This was different because Arteta knows Jesus. I think he’s a really, really good player.

“I thought Zinchenko was the weak link at Man City sometimes, until I saw him play this summer for Ukraine. He has shown how good he is.

“If you play for Manchester City, as much as Jesus has played, you have to be a top-notch player. I am surprised they have let him go. What a signing for Arsenal.”

Arsenal 'not interested' in Gnabry

Arsenal are reportedly not planning to pursue a deal for Serge Gnabry this summer.

The former Gunners man has just one year remaining on his current deal at Bayern Munich and has been linked with a return to the Emirates Stadium.

However, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Gnabry is 'not on' Arsenal's list of transfer targets.

Inter Milan 'to cash in' on Arsenal target

Inter Milan would like to sell Stefan de Vrij this summer, a new report has claimed.

De Vrij has been linked with both Arsenal and Tottenham in recent weeks, and Calciomercato has revealed that Inter are making plans to ensure they do not lose the 30-year-old for nothing when his contract expires in 12 months time.

Chelsea have also been linked with the defender, who could yet end up in the Premier League before the summer is out.

Rashford set to stay put

Marcus Rashford has dropped the biggest hint yet that he is keen to stay at Manchester United under Erik ten Hag.

The England striker, who was linked with a move to Arsenal earlier this summer, became a peripheral figure at Old Trafford in the final months of the season after falling out of form.

But Rashford has talked up his chances of making a fresh start at United under Ten Hag - making a move elsewhere this summer unlikely.

Manchester City have reportedly joined Manchester United and Arsenal in the race for Serge Gnabry.

The Gunners have been monitoring Gnabry's situation at Bayern Munich, where we has just one year remaining on his current deal.

Arsenal handed Hickey lifeline

Brentford boss Thomas Frank has refused to be drawn on reports claiming that the Bees have snapped up Arsenal target Aaron Hickey.

The Gunners have been relentlessly linked with the Scottish left-back over the past few months, but reports on Saturday claimed that Brentford were in pole position to pinch Hickey.

However, Frank was coy when quizzed about Hickey on Sky Sports during Sunday's British Grand Prix; indicating a deal may not yet be done.

Frank said: “You know there’s a lot of rumours out there. I love speaking about players, especially my players. So if he signs, I would love to speak about him [Hickey].”

Villarreal join Bellerin race

Villarreal have become the latest club to express an interest in Arsenal outcast Hector Bellerin.

The Spanish right-back spent last year on loan at Real Betis and is keen to return to the La Liga outfit on a permanent basis. However, Betis cannot afford to strike a permanent deal for Bellerin, who still has one year remaining on his current deal.

A new report from TuttoJuve has revealed that Villarreal have joined Juventus and a host of other European clubs in the race to acquire Bellerin.

Arsenal struggling to offload Pepe

Arsenal are reportedly finding it hard to offload club-record flop Nicolas Pepe.

The Ivorian forward has failed to impress since arriving at the Emirates in an eye-watering £72million deal from Lille back in 2019. Pepe has mustered just 27 goals in 112 appearances for the Gunners, who are ready to cut their losses on the 27-year-old.

However, a new report from PA, via The Sun, has revealed that Arsenal are struggling to find anybody willing to meet their £25m price tag.

Pepe's £140,000-a-week salary is also deterring any potential suitors, with the report going on to claim that a loan switch to Spain looks like the most likely outcome for the winger.

Gakpo may wait to join Arsenal

Arsenal have been linked with a move for PSV star Cody Gakpo, but although the Dutchman is ready to play in the Premier League, he may follow in Georginio Wijnaldum's footsteps.

Wijnaldum joined Newcastle before later heading to Liverpool, meaning that although Gakpo may eventually end up at the Emirates, he might be patient with the move.

Martinez pitches himself to Arsenal and Man Utd

Lisandro Martinez has already revealed why clubs should be desperate to sign him, as Manchester United and Arsenal scrap over his signature.

The defender has been subject to bids from both sides, as Ajax prepare to lose their defender this summer.

"I am called the Canisero - the Butcher of Amsterdam," he said. "We Argentines do everything with passion - and when I go out on the pitch I fight for every ball.

"If I have to step over dead bodies I do it. I want to win every 50-50 situation because I know that I am fighting for food for every member of my family and for my friends.

"That is the feeling I have - and every Argentinian has. It is the kind of motivation I cannot explain."

Arsenal have already seen a bid knocked back for Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez, and they were handed a blow when Manchester United joined the race and submitted a £37million offer.

The defender wants to move to the Premier League, but is igniting a fierce battle between United and Arsenal.

Erik ten Hag wants to sign his former defender, while Mikel Arteta see's him as a key part of his future plans.

And according to the Athletic, Arsenal are set for a meeting with the Eredivisie champions next week to work out a deal.

It appeared as though United had hijacked a deal, but it could still be on the cards.

It may not be a new signing, but it's certainly one that changed a lot at Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta will be hoping that the additions of Gabriel Jesus and Fabio Vieira can emulate a similar impact, with the Spaniard looking to get Arsenal back to their best.
