THE state-run weather agency said on Wednesday that the low pressure area (LPA) off Pangasinan has developed into a tropical depression named "Caloy".

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 8 a.m. advisory that the center of Caloy was last seen past 3 a.m. some 395 kilometers west of Iba, Zambales.
