Expecting a large footfall in coming days, the management of Ram temple under construction at Janambhommi in Ayodhya has decided to follow the system of Tirupati Balaji.
To provide state of art facilities to visitors, the Ram Janambhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust at Ayodhya would develop a system on the tunes of world famous Tirupati Balaji temple of Andhra Pradesh. To study the system and its feasibility the trust has sent a delegation to Tirupati Balaji temple in Andhra Pradesh. The delegation would study the system followed there and facilities available for devotees.
It may be mentioned that ever since the Supreme Court has given verdict in favour of Ram Janambhommi, the number of devotees coming to offer prayers is swelling every day. According to a trust member in normal days 20 to 25000 people used to visit the Ram temple at Ayodhya while during special occasions the numbers goes up to one lakh. It is expected that after the temple is fully constructed there would be a footfall of 75000 to one lakh everyday and on festival or special days it could be two to three lakh. To make things smooth for the devotees the temple trust would like to evolve a system where crowd is managed properly and there is no hassle in offering prayers. The trust member said that the management of Tirupati Balaji temple is classic example of handling large number of people where everyday thousands of people throng.
The Ram Temple trust has already announced to make arrangement for creating facility for 25000 devotees every day and now it wants to increase it. At present the temple is under construction and the idols of Lord Ram is placed in a make shift enclosure. The trust has announced that temple construction would be completed by the end of year 2023 and it would be opened for devotees on January 14, 2024.
