The Railway Local Crime Branch (LCB) has arrested a man who used to steal valuables and cash from passengers in moving trains by intoxicating them.

Police said Ravindra Dohre duped many passengers while travelling between Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
VADODARA: The Railway Local Crime Branch (LCB) has arrested a man who used to steal valuables and cash from passengers in moving trains by intoxicating them.
Ravindra Dohre, a resident of Bhind district in Madhya Pradesh, was nabbed after the cops tracked him down through technical surveillance.
According to the police, Dohre duped many passengers while travelling between Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra.

The Vadodara railway LCB began investigations after it received a complaint from a passenger who had been duped by Dohre.
The accused intoxicated the complainant and transferred Rs 7,000 from the latter’s phone through a payment app to a bank account.
The cops tracked down Dohre after collecting details of the bank account in which the money was transferred.
“Dohre used to travel in trains and befriend the co-passengers. After gaining their trust, he used to intoxicate them by offering food or something to drink. He used to steal their phones or other valuables,” said Utsav Barot, police inspector, railway LCB.
The cops said that Dohre has 11 offences registered against him in different police stations. He has been handed over to the railway police for further investigations.
