In an endeavour to add momentum in the Indian market, Locomotive Global Media LLP today announced the appointment of Anup Thanvi as Coordinating Producer and Pearl Gill as Head of Production. Their appointments are with immediate effect.

In his new role, Anup Thanvi will be responsible for developing a strong creative vision for the company’s upcoming projects. As Coordinating Producer, Thanvi will contribute to LGM’s overall growth by scouting for new ideas and creative talent, analysing and developing scripts into successful series and films, creating pitch material for projects, and cultivating creative relationships within the media and entertainment industry. 

Thanvi brings to LGM 8 years of industry experience, with an expertise in fiction and non-fiction content production. Prior to joining LGM, he worked as a creative producer at The Story Ink. In his previous roles, Thanvi also worked as a producer for leading media channels and streaming platforms including Channel V, Disney+Hotstar, and AltBalaji. 

As LGM’s Head of Production, Gill will be responsible for building out the company’s production expertise, culminating in launching LGM’s line production services offerings for outside producers. She will be leading and managing all aspects of production for LGM projects, beginning with development and carrying all the way through to project delivery. With an aim to build LGM into a leading production partner in the industry, she will be tasked with setting benchmarks for the company in terms of production the achievement of which will take LGM to the next level of corporate growth. 

Gill brings with her 10 years of industry experience. She has worked as an Executive Producer, Line Producer, and Production Executive for films and series including Shakuntala Devi, Kaun Banegi Shekharwati, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

MSL, Publicis Groupe’s strategic communications, today announced the appointment of Sahil Chopra as Chief Operating Officer for Publicis Consultants Asia (PCA).  In his new role, Sahil will be responsible for strategic guidance and oversee delivery of core services to client organizations in the entertainment, consumer and technology sectors. 

Sahil specialises in driving business impact and has the working experience of leading large teams, providing strategic direction, driving consumer outreach, community engagement and delivering business results.

Aaron LeBerge, the Chief Technology Officer at Disney Entertainment and ESPN, has decided to move on from the network after a stint of 20 years, media networks have reported.

Aaron LeBerge will be joining Penn Entertainment, a gaming and sports media firm.  

As per reports, he will be taking over the new role in July.

Disney Entertainment has given the interim charge of LeBerge's role to Chris Lawson.

Balakrishna is an accomplished media and advertising veteran with over three decades of experience in the media and advertising industry. He has been a key influencer in the group’s continued growth trajectory. He started his career in January 1987 and has been a part of the leadership team of many media and advertising organisations like Initiative Media (LMG), Hindustan Times, Zee Network, India Today Group. Balakrishna is a highly sought-after speaker at industry events and serves on juries regularly.

Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL) has announced the appointment of Gajanan Sampatrao Kale as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), with effect from 19th April 2024. 

Commenting on the appointment, Praveer Sinha, CEO & MD, Tata Power said, “I welcome Gajanan as the new CEO of Tata Power-DDL. With his extensive experience in the distribution domain, I am confident that he will lead Tata Power DDL to new heights of success.” 

Prior to joining Tata Power-DDL, Kale was the Chief Executive Officer of Tata Power Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL) from 2021 to 2024. He has also served as the CEO of Tata Power Ajmer Distribution Ltd (TPADL) from 2018 to 2020. Kale has been with Tata Power group since 2003. This is his second stint with Tata Power-DDL. During his previous tenure at Tata Power-DDL in the Operations and Commercial verticals, he spearheaded major projects for Operations Transformation, Network Revamping, Business Process Reengineering of Revenue Management, and Resource Planning & Management. 

Kale started his career at BHEL in Bhopal and also held positions at the Central Railway Nagpur Division, and Delhi Vidyut Board/Tata Power-DDL among others. 

Congratulating his appointment, Sanjay Banga, President (T&D), Tata Power said, “Gajanan is a seasoned distribution sector professional with proven track record. I am sure that under his leadership Tata Power DDL will continue to set new benchmarks in the industry.”
